Compact whole-home treatment

HydroOne™

HydroOne™ combines whole-home filtration and ion-exchange softening in one treatment vessel, paired with a brine tank and a demand-metered control.

Inside the tank, we use Centaur catalytic carbon, KDF process media, and 10% cross-linked Aldex ion-exchange resin. We chose those materials for chlorinated municipal water and for a longer working life than lower-grade media when the system is sized and maintained correctly.

Component documentation: Centaur catalytic carbon is manufactured for potable-water chloramine and hydrogen-sulfide applications and complies with ANSI/AWWA B604. Aldex C-800x10 is a 10% cross-linked strong-acid cation resin. Actual media life depends on water quality, household use, flow, and maintenance. Component documentation does not certify the complete assembled system.

With each media bed able to do one job well, HydroDuo™ gives catalytic carbon more opportunity to contact the water while the dedicated resin vessel focuses on removing hardness. The larger, separated media configuration can support longer service intervals and lets filtration and softening be maintained independently.

The exact media quantity, tank sizing, flow rate, and programming are selected around the property. Actual media life depends on water quality, household use, flow, and maintenance. Published media certifications apply to the listed component, not automatically to the complete installed system.

Why the inside matters

What is inside each system, and why we chose it

Two systems can look nearly identical from the outside and use very different materials inside. The Hydro Series pairs higher-grade treatment media with a digital demand-metered control for consistent treatment and efficient regeneration.

Designed for demanding potable-water applications, including chloramine and hydrogen-sulfide treatment. Catalytic activity helps it work more effectively than conventional granular carbon for difficult municipal-water disinfectant goals.

Premium KDF process media

KDF uses an oxidation-reduction process to target and reduce heavy metals such as lead, mercury, and iron. Inside the treatment bed, it also helps prevent bacterial and algal growth, supports scale control, and complements the catalytic-carbon stage.

Aldex 10% cross-linked resin

Standard residential resin is often 8% cross-linked. We specify 10% cross-linked Aldex C-800x10 resin because the denser bead structure is more durable in chlorinated municipal water and is built for a longer working life.

We use a premium digital demand-metered controller rather than a basic fixed-day timer. It tracks actual water use, maintains reserve capacity, and automatically runs the programmed regeneration and cleaning cycles.

Whole-home RO is not the default answer for every home. Hydro360™ RO includes a 500-gallon pressure tank, and the evaluation must account for garage space, drainage, electrical access, pressure, pretreatment, and ongoing maintenance before a recommendation is made.
