Much of Central Florida gets its water from the Floridan aquifer. As groundwater moves through limestone and other rock, it picks up calcium and magnesium. Those minerals make water hard.
You see them on faucets and shower glass, but they can also build up inside plumbing and appliances. Softening removes the hardness minerals from the water feeding your home.
