HydroDuo™

HydroDuo™ separates premium filtration and softening media into dedicated vessels, increasing media capacity, contact time, and service flexibility for higher-demand homes.

Configuration2 treatment vessels + brine tank
ControlDigital demand-metered valve
Filtration vesselCatalytic carbon + KDF
Softening vessel10% cross-linked resin
Centaur catalytic carbonReduces chlorine taste and odor, with faster chloramine breakdown than conventional activated carbon.
KDF process mediaTargets dissolved heavy metals and inhibits bacterial and algal growth within the media bed.
10% cross-linked Aldex resinRemoves hardness with greater resistance to oxidative wear than conventional 8% resin.
Graded support bedSupports the media and distributes water through the treatment bed.

HydroDuo™ gives the catalytic carbon its own vessel for contact with the water. The separate resin vessel removes hardness. The separate vessels let us size each media bed for its job and service filtration and softening independently.

The exact media quantity, tank sizing, flow rate, and programming are selected around the property. Actual media life depends on water quality, household use, flow, and maintenance. Published media certifications apply to the listed component, not automatically to the complete installed system.

CHOSEN FOR LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE

Why we use this filter media.

We specify Centaur catalytic carbon, KDF, and 10% cross-linked Aldex resin because each contributes something different. Catalytic carbon handles chlorine and chloramines. KDF helps protect the carbon bed from biological fouling. The resin removes hardness and resists the oxidative wear that breaks down lower-cross-linked beads.

Reducing disinfectants before they reach the softening resin also helps protect it. The amount of media, contact time, and maintenance all matter, so we size and program the system for your home.

Service life varies with water chemistry, temperature, flow, use, and maintenance.

Living with your system

Before installation

We check hardness and disinfectant levels, water use, plumbing, and available space. Those details determine tank sizing and control settings.

At installation

Our team installs and starts the system, then explains the controls and the maintenance it needs.

After installation

Keep the brine tank supplied as directed and contact our local team for maintenance or changes in performance.
